Research Diary

All of the advice is to keep a research diary.  One good reason is to have something to fall back on when composing the methodology chapter of the final thesis.  Meantime, it’s a good repository for those random thoughts which flash into (and out of) one’s head before being able to remember why one’s text has been highlighted!

I’ve been boning-up on the methodolgies of ethnomusicology by starting here: Ethnomusicology: A Very Short Introduction by Timothy Rice and also making a start on qualitative research methods with: Doing Qualitative Research: A Practical Handbook by David Silverman.
